So, these portraits were taken during my last assignment for a magazine about culture here in Denmark called Fine Spind.
I really liked the results and one of the reasons it worked so well is rather simple: I had TIME to build a connection with Allan. I asked him to listen to his music (he is a composer) to build up the mood for the shooting and a common ground between us. We might have hangout for about an hour.
It can be very challenging to take portraits, specially if you only have a couple of minutes to do it and if the subject is not comfortable with cameras. This assignment was different, we had time and Allan was very active in the process. And there you have it!

For the first update here this year, I decided to look back to the pictures taken in 2016 and make a selection of 9 photos based on my instagram account. These are photos that somehow got more attention from the viewers.
I know that there are many factors that may play a role when it comes to the amount of “likes” a picture gets and in most of the cases it doesn’t mean anything, but I was curious if these photos had anything in common at all or if I could see a trend in terms of composition that could be related to them.
